Physician Biographies

 

 

Tawfik F. Hawwa, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Hawwa has been with Partners in OB/GYN since 1985.  Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Dr. Hawwa is a medical graduate of the American University of Beirut.  He completed his residency in OB/GYN at West Virginia University.  He is currently an assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Brown University School of Medicine and holds hospital privileges at Women & Infants’ and Rhode Island Hospitals.  Dr. Hawwa is a member of the Board of Trustees at Women & Infants’ Hospital where he also served as president of the medical staff in 1998 and 1999.  He and his wife, Olga, reside in Rhode Island with their two children.

 

Lisa R. Domagalski, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Domagalski joined Partners in OB/GYN in 1995.  She received a B.S. degree from Hamilton College, summa cum laude, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  She graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Women & Infants’ Hospital.  Dr. Domagalski is a member of the Continuing Education Committee and Executive Committee at Women & Infants’ Hospital.  She is an assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Brown University School of Medicine.  Dr. Domagalski holds hospital privileges at Women& Infants’ and Rhode Island Hospitals. She and her husband James have two children.

 

Tolga Kokturk, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Kokturk joined Partners in OB/GYN in 2000.  He received a B.S. degree in biology from the University of Rochester and an M.D. from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn.  He completed his residency at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, NY.  Dr. Kokturk is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has conducted extensive research on fetal acidosis and fetal injury.  Dr. Kokturk holds hospital privileges at Women & Infants’ and Rhode Island Hospitals. He and his wife Didem, reside in Rhode Island with their son and daughter.

 

Nabil Y. Khoury, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Khoury began practicing at Partners in OB/GYN in 1968.  He is a graduate of the Damascus Medical School in Syria and practiced in Syria and Lebanon with the United Nations.  Dr. Khoury then came to the United States and completed his residency at Boston hospitals.  He is currently an assistant clinical professor in obstetrics and gynecology at Brown University School of Medicine and has hospital privileges at Women & Infants’ Hospital and Rhode Island Hospitals. He and his wife, Salwa, have four children and eight grandchildren. His practice is currently limited to gynecology only.

Cynthia M. Hanna, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Hanna has been an obstetrician and gynecologist in private group practice with Partners in OB/GYN since 1989.  She is a graduate of Villanova University, magna cum laude, and received her M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.  She completed her post-graduate training in obstetrics and gynecology at Women & Infants’ Hospital.  Dr. Hanna is an assistant clinical professor at Brown University School of Medicine.  She is on the hospital staff of Women & Infants’ and Rhode Island Hospitals.  Together, she and her husband, George Hanna, a cardiologist, have four children.  Dr. Cynthia Hanna is the daughter of the late Dr. John J. Coughlin.  Her practice is currently limited to gynecology only.

 

Stacey P. Lievense, M.D.

Dr. Lievense joined Partners in OB/GYN in 2007.  She earned her
undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and then
received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, graduating as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.  Dr. Lievense completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island. She and her husband, Darrell Lievense, live in Rhode Island with their two sons.

 

Karen Iannucci, R.N.P.

Karen Iannucci joined Partners in OB/GYN in 1999.  She received a B.S. degree from Boston University and also holds a B.S. degree in nursing and a master’s degree as a nurse practitioner from the University of Rhode Island.  Ms. Iannucci is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the National Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau chapter.  She and her husband, David Carchedi, have two children and reside in Rhode Island.
